International Students
The University of Chicago undergraduate college experience is defined by a culture of inquiry, discussion, and exploration. Drawing on diverse experiences and perspectives, international students help drive the conversations through which rigorous inquiry takes place in our community. International students comprise 15% of the College, 24% of the University community, and come from over 100 countries. At UChicago, we are looking for academically talented, intellectually curious international students to come to a world-renowned campus in a global city to share their perspectives and join in the conversation. We invite you to discover and explore our distinctive and dynamic community. Although there is nothing like visiting campus to see it yourself, we understand that most international applicants cannot experience UChicago in person. Our international admissions officers are here to answer any question you have about UChicago or applying as a international student. The International Student Advisory Committee (also known as ISAC) is a group of current students from all over the world who are excited to help you learn more about the UChicago undergraduate experience! If you have any questions about being an international student at UChicago, from the Core curriculum to the weather—feel free to ask a student. They are here to give you the insider’s view of the College.
